TERMS & CONDITIONS

SWIMMING LESSONS

  1. Term time lessons are booked in blocks, usually half terms. Full payment is usually due in near the end of the current block or on booking your place if you are new. Lessons cost £9.50 each including an award each half term. All communication is via our Spond group. Get in touch for more details. sue@sueslittlefish.co.uk
  2. Any term time places that are not paid for in full by the payment date will be cancelled. There is no flexibility on this I’m afraid. Please make sure you are aware of term dates so you can be ready to pay for the next course. We mostly follow the Pembrokeshire school term dates.
  3. Late payment reminders will incur an extra charge of 2.5% +£2.20p as it will be via Spond payments for whichh there is a charge to me and takes additional admin time.
  4. We use JotForm to collect swimmer details. The link for this is available on request. You must have an up to date completed form. It is your responsibility to make sure details are kept up to date on your account (ie phone, email and medical details & photo consent). Swimmers cannot be allowed to join lessons if they do not have an up to date form.
  5. School holiday intensives are booked in weekly blocks of 2-5 lessons depending on pool time available that week. Initially you can only book full weeks. (Any spaces left by the Friday before the course starts will be offered as individual dates.) You may book 1 or more weeks as you choose. All places are 1st come, 1st served basis and bookings go live 7am on the Monday 2 weeks before the start of the school holidays. Classes cost £9 each & full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your place.
  6. We don’t have anywhere for parents to watch. We find swimmers focus on us much better without your distraction! Please stay in the changing room and out of sight. We will let you watch at the end of the course or half term for the last 15mins of the last lesson. No phones, no talking, no waving!
  7. Parents/adults are requested to stay close by during their child’s lesson. Children 7yrs & under need to be seen into their lesson by an adult when their name is called by their teacher and greeted by a parent at the end of their class and won’t be allowed to walk into the changing room until we’ve seen you. If your child is 7yrs or under you MUST be within shouting distance from poolside in case they need the toilet. We aren’t allowed to let 7yrs & under go to the toilet alone.
  8. Any sessions missed by you will not be refunded (although a degree of flexibility may be offered if a child has a long term illness/absence due to exceptional circumstances).
  9. Lessons may occasionally be cancelled for circumstances beyond my control. I try to do this as early as possible but as continuity is so important, I only cancel when all other options have been exhausted. Cancellations are via Spond group in the events.. If you turn up by mistake we will try to accommodate your child if there is space in a class, but we cannot go over our class size limits.
  10. Sessions cancelled by myself for any reason will not be charged.
  11. Cancellation policy term time – you can cancel at any time and have a refund but we need 2 weeks notice. This must be via email. If we can fill your place quicker than 2 weeks we will.
  12. Cancellation policy holiday intensive lessons – unfortunately due to their short term booking window these lessons aren’t refundable once booked (although we will try to fill your place if we can).
  13. Cameras & photography are not permitted in any class. I use my camera for media purposes but only use images of swimmers with photo consent.
  14. Happy Nappy’s MUST be worn by all swimmers under 3 yrs in Adult & Child Classes, reusable swim nappies must also be worn if your child is not yet fully toilet trained. We try not to use disposable swim nappies.
  15. Hats must be worn for all swimmers 3 yrs and over although considerations will be made for some with sensory issues by arrangement with the teacher.
  16. Lessons for ages 3yrs+ may be taught in the water or by a teacher on poolside with an assistant in the water as in line with industry guidelines.
  17. Illness – Swimmers ARE NOT allowed in the pool within 48 hrs of any sickness and/or diarrhoea. We cannot take any child with an infectious disease. Please see the NHS advice on illness for schools. https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/
  18. Baby & Toddler classes may very occasionally run without a teacher as a free play session. This is when the only alternative would be to cancel and I try to avoid this. These sessions will be at a reduced rate but will not be eligible for cancellation.
  19. Please do not feed your child anything more than a small snack immediately before their lesson.

COMPLAINTS

Please get in touch with any issues you may have. I work hard to keep lessons standard high, children happy and making progress and parents getting value for money. Customer care and satisfaction are very important to me and I will do my best to iron out any issues that may arise.
